An old school minority-owned restaurant named in memoriam of Truck, staffed with the sweetest women that serve the best fried okra and mac 'n cheese. A rare establishment that still honors patrons with the courtesy titles of Honey and Baby...

Everything is absolutely delicious During our 17 yr. Wedding Anniversary Wrightsville Beach vacation last week, my husband and I dined at the restaurant. We had the pleasure and privilege of meeting the owner, Ramona as well as the Head Cashier/Waitress, Natalie and the Head Cook, Tallani. I do apologize if I misspelled your name. Thanks so much for sharing your Memphis vacation highlights. We look forward to coming back through real soon to enjoy another one of your home cooked meals. FYI- The Spot and grits was definitely "spot on" and fantastic. My husband can't stop talking about how much he enjoyed the Seafood and Shrimp plate. The mac and cheese and fried okra magically transports you back to Grandma's kitchen table. Definitely looking forward to sharing this Southern cuisine jewel with friends and family. Bon Appetit!!

I pop in or order online from time to time when the southern cravings hit and I just don't feel like cooking. In those moments I am looking for something similar to what one of my grandmothers from NC may have made. The food from Truck's makes the mark. One of my favorite times was when they unexpectedly had smothered chicken on the menu. I hadn't had that since I was a child and it was done well. When I go in person, I am always treated kindly and it is a comfortable place to be. I enjoy studying their history through the memories on the wall as well. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a solid soulful meal.
